How will you know whether your workplace health initiative is successful? And how will you measure success? These are the important questions that conducting an evaluation will help you to answer.
Your programme should be monitored and evaluated in terms of short, medium, and long-term changes.
To establish what method of evaluation you should use, consider:
- the programme's success indicators
- the resources available (staff, money, etc.)
- the best way to collect information from your employees.
You also need to establish:
- the best way to communicate with employees regarding the evaluation (telephone, mail, focus groups etc.)
- when to communicate with them
- how to make it easy for them to take part in the evaluation.
